My girlfriend and I are in love with our 93 Ford Escort hatchback. we are in the process of repairing the driver side rear strut tower, via some welding and other creative means.
The car originally belonged to my girlfriend\´s grandfather, so it has a certain sentimental value for her. The car is total chillin, especially in its body stylin and mechanics. Not many exist today, because it was thought of a as cheap sort of car, so most have been run into the ground. Who needs the new crossovers with their 3-year replacable batteries, or the big pick-up monsters, sold to either the retirees or younguns who will eventually have them repoded? The 93 Ford Escort hatchback is an art piece, and a pleasure to drive. It is the \´Mona Lisa\´ on wheels, or the Niagra Falls in its purity. Some people commune with their plants; we commune with our Escort. |
