I got this car as a gift from my parents when I graduated from high school. I was fond of the car\´s exterior smooth look and its contemporary interior, and I loved its sound system. However, almost as the first year went by all kinds of problems started to surface, and once the warranty expired two years after the purchase the car\´s maintenance seriously broke my finances and my parents\´ as well. Everything you can imagine broke down: automatic windows, CD player, air conditioner, suspension, breaks, and last but definitely not least, the transmission. I admit, I wasn\´t the most caring person using the car, but I wasn\´t reckless or careless either. When I sold the car 5 years later, I barely recovered 15% of the original purchase price, not to mention that I almost paid 40% of the original purchase price on various maintenance. Mazda did the right thing by suspending the production of this failure.  |
