Hi all...
I was involved in what I thought was a minor tip(accident) a couple of days ago - I was stopped in traffic with my engine running and a lady reversed into the rear door on the driver\´s side (right-hand drive), the car cut-out and I couldnt start the car again. I managed to push the car into a parking space, tried again to start the car but nothing.
With the key in the ignition, a chattering sound can be heard. I removed the cover under the steering column and relay number 614 is chattering away, this relay is the fuel pump relay as I found out later on. Battery was disconnected/reconnected but same, roadside rescue tried to jump car but same also. All displays, radio, etc are working. I ended up having to get the car towed to a repair garage in the end.
I have two questions -
1) Could this non-start issue have been caused by the impact as explained above..I am of the opinion it is (or else it a huge coincedence and I\´m extremely unlucky) but the lady\´s insurance assessor deems it to be totally unrelated.
2) Is there an Emergency Fuel Cut-Off Device/Switch on the 2005 Audi A4 European 1.6 Petrol Model and if so, where might it be located ?
