| I have owned many Mercedes Benz vehicles, my first one being a 1957 model. The 1978 240D has done more than 1,000,000 km and still starts first time - hot or cold weather does not seem to bother her. I get 13km/l in town if I drive carefully, she is safe, solid and comfy. I wouldn\´t hesitate to buy another one if I can get one in good condition. The only weak point on all W123 bodywork is the rust factor, styling strips behind rear windows unfortunately allow water to accumulate and then oxidizing starts. Brunomant |
