| Bought a nice 74 Matador X when I was 16 for $450 in 1978. It was in good shape when I bought it. Within six months the stripe fell off, the metallic paint faded, I had to keep tightening the lifters, all the rings and valves started leaking causing me to drive in a blue cloud, the vynil seats all split, the power steering went bad, the brakes failed, and a few other things. But I did put a fine radio in it, felt like a Starsky relative, and learned a lot about fixing cars.... ahhhh... |
