I own a 1934 MBZ 170Va Cab., that is known by information from a number on the car frame. The car looks just like all the others I have seen on the web with one big exception. The windshield is a split window rather than the single windshield. I am starting to wonder in my car was a prototype that preceeded production of the 136 060 models in 1934. The car was sold to an US Army Col. in 1947 as a new car, but I know now that Mercedes did not make any 170Va Cabrio models that year. It has a smooth trunk lid much like the 1950s 170S which looks very classy. Maybe it was just a knock-off cobbled together from prewar parts, but it does have some definate MBZ pettigree.  |
